Lucknow: Even though the Yogi government has achieved the target of planting 22 crores a day, it has not been able to become a world record. Officials of the Guinness Book of World Records refused to record it as there was a plantation hall in many places in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, the record of five crore plantations made in the government of Akhilesh Yadav in the year 2016 will be maintained.

In fact, in the year 2017, during the time of Shivraj’s government in Madhya Pradesh, more than seven crore saplings were claimed. This plantation campaign was later mired in controversies.

Only 2.22 lakh plants were found in the verification of the Guinness Book of World Records. Since then, Guinness has refused to record plantation records simultaneously in many places. Therefore, the plantation drive of UP has not been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

However, never before has so much plantation been made in the state’s forest department records. In the year 2018 also,

the Yogi government planted nine crores of saplings. These records
66 thousand saplings distributed in a fixed time from one place in Prayagraj
Five crore plantations were done in the state between the first hour and 9-10 hours
1.01 lakh saplings planted at Kasganj under Governor’s rule at one place
24 crore saplings were planted in the name of 24 crore devotees who came to Kumbh
