India’s old border dispute with China

India’s border dispute with China has been going on for a long time. Often Chinese soldiers try to infiltrate the Indian border. However, due to the vigilance of the Indian soldiers, they are unable to succeed in this, and due to this; a situation of confrontation arises between the two on the border itself. The Line of Actual Control (LAC), which is over four thousand kilometers between India and China, is divided into three sectors – Eastern, Central, and Western sectors. The eastern sector consists of the area of Arunachal Pradesh, whose territory is claimed by China as 90 thousand square kilometers. The central sector consists of Uttarakhand, Himachal, and Sikkim. In this area too, China claims on the Barahuti region of Uttarakhand. The western sector consists of Ladakh and Aksai Chin.
