Kidarsh’s arrest comes a month after former Iraqi intelligence chief Mustafa al-Qadimi became prime minister. Kirdash was the head of the negotiating committee of the ISS. He also worked in ISIS during the time of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in this terrorist organization.

Kirdash had led militants in al-Baghouz, Syria in recent times. It is a small city bordering Iraq. Till a few months ago, it was occupied by ISIS.
