ECG report says – blood clots are forming in blood vessels
Doctors initially performed a 12-channel ECG, with no serious disease symptoms.
The woman later showed doctors the ECG test taken from Apple Watch, which showed signs of blood clots in the blood vessels.
There have been many cases of Apple Watch saving lives. Recently, a case was revealed in which Apple Watch saved the life of an 80-year-old woman, which was possible due to the ECG functionality of the Watch. Watch identified a heart-related problem that could not catch up even during the ECG in the hospital.
Researchers at Oxford University reported in the European Heart Journal that the elderly woman underwent general angina symptoms (chest pain arising from reduced blood circulation) at the University Medical Center Mainz in Johannes Gutenberg University (Germany). He told that he also faced presyncope twice. (presyncope, a condition in which fainting occurs due to poor circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain)
Sub-normal in doctors’ ECG report
After hearing the woman’s problem, the doctors initially performed a 12-channel ECG. No symptoms of ischaemia were revealed during the test. (ischaemia, in which blood does not reach the organs properly due to blockage of blood clots in the blood vessels)
Myocardial ischemia confirmed in Apple Watch’s ECG
Later, the woman showed doctors the results of the ECG test for herself, which she had taken from her Apple Watch. In which the woman was exposed to ST-segment depression. In these tests, the doctors also found signs of myocardial ischemia in the woman, after which she transferred them to the catheterization lab. This was followed by his coronary artery stenting, after which he was sent home the next day. (Myocardial Ischemia, in which blood clots in the blood vessels do not allow blood to flow to the heart better)
Can store ECG of Apple Watch in PDF
The study revealed that with the advent of smart technology, new methods of treatment are being discovered. In the case of Apple Watch, the ECG starts recording as soon as the mobile app is installed. It can also be stored in PDF form. In this case, the Apple smartwatch can be used to measure blood circulation in addition to just the work of monitoring the irregular heart rate.
