Akhil Saxena, Vice President, Customer Fulfillment said that one thing we have learned from the Covid-19 epidemic is how important Amazon and e-commerce can play for their customers, small businesses, and the country. We have taken this responsibility seriously and we are proud of the work that our team is doing to help small and other businesses reach our customers during this difficult time.

We want to continue helping customers across India get everything they need so that they continue to follow social distance. For this, we are creating work opportunities for about 50,000 seasonal associates in our fulfillment and delivery network.

This will provide a large number of people during the epidemic and a safe working environment.
Creating these opportunities, Amazon is committed to the health and safety of its associates, partners, employees, and customers and has implemented several measures for their welfare. The company has made about 100 significant changes in its operational process to protect its people. These include mandating face covering, daily temperature checks in buildings, increasing cleanliness at all sites, regular sanitization of frequently touched areas, and handwashing and hand sanitization.
